About the event

 Registration for CAIR-Ohio’s October 3rd Annual Banquet at Manor House in Mason, Oh., is now available online. In past years, the banquet has sold out. Ticket prices are discounted before October 3, so register TODAY to reserve your place.

We look forward to hosting you, highlighting the challenges and victories of the past year, and sharing our plans for further community empowerment, civic engagement, challenges to Islamophobia, and trainings for our youth to become the next generation of leaders! This year we are celebrating 24 years of service. We are blessed with another year working to promote justice, protect civil rights, and empower our community. 

This year’s theme, “Inspired by Faith, Leading by Service,” will be the focus of the October 3rd evening banquet and will feature Keynote Speaker Dr. Yasir Qadhi and spoken word poet Amal Kassir. We will also be joined by community leader Alauddin Alauddin, who will be the emcee for the evening.

Banquet attendees will also meet the winners of CAIR Ohio’s 2021  Community Empowerment Awards.

Speakers

Dr.Yasir Qadhi
Muslim Theologian

Yasir Qadhi, PhD, is a resident Scholar of the Memphis Islamic Center, a professor at Rhodes College in the Department of Religious Studies, and is the Dean of Academic Affairs at AlMaghrib Institute. Having completed not only M.A. in in Islamic Theology from the College of Dawah, Medina University and a PhD in Religious Studies from Yale University, he is one of the few people who has combined a traditional Eastern Islamic seminary education with a Western academic training of the study of Islam.

Amal Kassir
Internationally Acclaimed Spoken Word Poet

Amal is a major proponent in education and building individual agency in particularly under-served and vulnerable populations. She hopes to take part in the global effort for literacy in war-struck areas and refugee camps through writing. She is an international spoken word poet, having performed in 10 countries and over 100 cities.

Alauddin Alauddin
Community Leader

Alauddin Alauddin has been a resident of Ohio for over 15 years and has served as a community leader within various organizations in the area. 

As the Founder/President of The360Muslim.com, Alauddin uses coaching, facilitation and mediation techniques to guide individuals and families towards a life of purpose and accomplishment.  He is also the Vice President of Muslim Family Services of Ohio (MFSOhio), a Columbus, Ohio-based social service organization, governed by Islamic principles, that strives to help families in crisis, such as the displaced or homeless and women in abusive situations.
