CIVIC ENGAGEMENT

Throughout the year CAIR-Ohio holds various programs to facilitate opportunities to engage with government bodies, to influence public policy by meeting with elected officials, and to advocate for legislation that aims to preserve civil liberties and promote social justice.

Voter Mobilization

The Ohio Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations understands the need to help voters navigate the ballot with voter guides, articles and special reports. CAIR-Ohio’s civic engagement efforts include hosting Candidate Forums, where constituents get the chance to meet with elected officials and candidates running for local office, as well as dozens of voter registration drives across Central & Southeast Ohio.
