(COLUMBUS, OHIO, 12/13/19) — On Sunday, December 8, CAIR-Columbus collaborated with 12 mosques in the Greater Columbus and Dayton area to organize the 2nd Annual Ohio Open Mosque Day.
On this day, all participating mosques welcomed their interfaith community members to get to know their Muslim neighbors a little better. CAIR-Columbus assisted with coordination, advertising, and contacted media for the event.

“It was an intimate gathering of neighbors from all backgrounds coming together to deepen understanding and build bridges. The visitors were all very kind. My co-workers came and really enjoyed the event. We talked about the basics of what Muslims believe, took a tour of the center, and ate some food,” said a community member who attended the event at Noor Islamic Cultural Center. “I was appreciative of the support displayed by the community, and proud to call the Noor Islamic Cultural Center my spiritual home.”
