2nd ANNUAL open mosque DAY, 2019
On Sunday, December 8, from 1:30-4:30 PM, several mosques in Ohio opened their doors to the community to help their interfaith community members get to know their Muslim neighbors better.
Visitors had an opportunity to meet members of their local Muslim community, enjoy light food and learn about Islam.

ANNUAL ADVOCACY DAY, 2019
On September 17, 2019, CAIR-Ohio along with over 120 participants took part in the annual Muslim Advocacy Day at the Ohio Statehouse.
CAIR-Columbus Government Affairs and Development Coordinator Usjid Hameed delivered opening remarks and conducted the advocacy training for attendees. Following the training, award winning civil rights activist Linda Sarsour delivered the keynote address, which focused on the importance of American-Muslim activism. After the keynote, attendees broke into groups to meet with members’ offices to advocate for paid family and medical leave, equal pay for equal work, and automated voter registration.
